Through this immersive study of world history, students will:

  • Explore the ancient cultures of Egypt, Israel, Assyria, Greece, and Rome
  • Learn about important historical figures like Augustus Caesar, Joan of Arc, and samurai warriors
  • Understand how civilizations rose and fell, and what caused the transitions from the ancient world to the Renaissance

Included in the Reading with History G Kit

The Reading with History G program includes everything you need for a successful homeschool year:

  • Instructor’s Guide: A complete 36-week, 4-day lesson schedule designed to leave one day a week open for extra-curricular activities like co-ops, music lessons, and field trips. The guide also includes map answer keys, discussion questions, answers, and helpful background notes for each lesson.
  • Story of the World Volumes 1 & 2: These two volumes provide a gripping, story-based trek through world history, from ancient Mesopotamia to the Renaissance. Your children will follow the epic tales of kings, queens, warriors, and explorers.
  • Timeline Figures: A visual tool that helps your child see how history unfolds by adding figures to their ever-expanding timeline, reinforcing key historical events.

Virtual Platform for Interactive Learning

Reading with History G also offers an optional virtual platform to enhance your homeschool experience. Students can:

  • Access their reading schedules and assignments online
  • Take assessments and receive instant auto-grading results
  • Track their progress through interactive tools

Parents can monitor their child's work, customize assessments, and communicate directly through the virtual platform, available on both computers and mobile devices. If purchased in April, May, or June, you can begin using the virtual platform as early as July 1st and have up to 6 months to start your course. You’ll have 12 months from your start date to complete the course.
