Comprehensive Science E Curriculum for Homeschool Students
BookShark’s engaging Science curriculum offers a literature-based approach that aligns with national standards, providing a comprehensive and academic learning experience. This program combines captivating literature with hands-on experiments, integrating science and engineering concepts through real-world applications. It's designed to keep students excited about learning science while exploring key topics in energy, earth’s systems, waves, and the physical characteristics of living things.
What’s Included in the Science E Curriculum
The curriculum includes three Usborne resource books that will spark curiosity and deepen understanding. The first book, the Usborne Illustrated Elementary Science Dictionary, is a student-friendly guide that explains essential science concepts. The other two books focus on animal survival adaptations and an in-depth look at the planet Earth, enhancing students' understanding of nature and the environment.
Students will also explore:
- Illustrated books on waves and energy
- An interactive workbook teaching computer coding
- A biography of a famous Hollywood inventor
Hands-On Experiments to Reinforce Learning
With our Science E homeschool curriculum, students will complete exciting science experiments such as:
- Simulating animal nerve connections with an electrical current
- Building a methane gas collection system
- Creating an electromagnet
Virtual Learning Platform
Our optional virtual learning platform allows students to access reading schedules, take assessments, and receive instant auto-grading results. Parents can track and review student progress, customize assessments, and communicate directly with their child through a computer or mobile device.
Note: If purchased in April, May, or June, access to the virtual platform can begin as early as July 1st. The course must be started within 6 months of purchase, and students will have 12 months from the start date to complete the curriculum.
