The American History I - Lap Book Kit can be added to your American history homeschool curriculum package to provide hands-on activities that reinforce key concepts. The kit is scheduled in the Instructor’s Guide for your convenience and can be customized through the "Customize" tab above.

Read-Alouds

Read 11 engaging Read-Aloud books that bring to life the adventure, courage, and challenges of early America. Sample titles include:

  • Walk the World’s Rim - Explore Texas before the Pilgrims landed and meet European explorers.

These stories provide opportunities for you and your child to connect with history through compelling characters and narratives.

Readers

The Level D Readers are adventure-filled stories that directly complement the history content, helping your child transition from “learning to read” to “reading to learn.” These carefully selected books reinforce the historical themes and characters introduced in the program.

If your child is an advanced reader or on the older end of the 8-11 age range, you can select the Advanced Readers under the "Customize" tab. This option includes eight additional gripping books for more advanced readers.

Virtual Platform

Reading with History D offers an optional Virtual Platform that allows students to access their reading schedules, complete assessments, and receive instant auto-grading results. Parents can track progress, review assignments, and communicate directly with their child through the platform, which is accessible from both computers and mobile devices.

If purchased between April and June, you can begin using the Virtual Platform as early as July 1st and within six months from the purchase date. You’ll have 12 months from your start date to complete the course.
